Swenka Mzala Radio Becomes Official Media Partner of the Cape to Cairo Walk.
Swenka Mzala Radio is proud to announce that it has officially joined the historic Cape to Cairo Walk as a media partner, helping to share the powerful stories and messages behind this remarkable journey across the African continent.
The walk, which is currently passing through Zambia and heading toward Lusaka, brings together three walkers with different missions but a shared determination to make a difference.
Among them is Jimmy Walker from South Africa, who is walking to raise awareness about Gender-Based Violence across Africa. Through his journey, Walker hopes to encourage communities to stand together against violence and support safer societies.
Joining the walk is Eddie Bond, an adventurer from the United States, who is exploring the African continent on foot to experience its cultures, landscapes, and people.
The third walker, known as Rhino Man, is using the journey to promote nature preservation and wildlife conservation, encouraging Africans to protect the continent’s rich natural heritage.
As the official media partner, Swenka Mzala Radio will provide regular updates, interviews, and stories from the road, ensuring that listeners and communities across Africa can follow the progress of the walk.
The partnership reflects the radio station’s commitment to supporting initiatives that promote social awareness, environmental conservation, and African unity.
Meanwhile, the journey has also highlighted some of the real challenges of walking across a continent. Jimmy Walker’s walking shoes are now worn out after many kilometres on the road, and supporters are being encouraged to help him obtain a new pair so he can safely continue the journey toward Cairo.
Through this partnership, Swenka Mzala Radio will continue to amplify the voices and messages of the walkers as they travel across Africa—one step at a time.
This collaboration ensures that the stories from the Cape to Cairo Walk reach communities far beyond the road, inspiring Africans everywhere to support causes that protect people, wildlife, and the environment.
