DANCING IN ZAMBIA

Good day
We are learning how to work together with the little resources we have, leaving room to adapt and today was quite an eye opener. It’s not about completing the walk, it’s about connecting with people and Africa. Today we were hosted by Kafue and they refused us to leave. We had a 20km march raising awareness on Keeping Kafue Green, Clean and healthy, then were hosted for a braai and drinks till now. Quite interesting discussions have been had on challenges youths face. Have agreed to adopt the PSO approach as youths to solve our problems. One interesting and intelligent young man, Mukosha, I had a one on one conversation with him and through the POS(Problem,- Solution and Opportunities) and one interesting observation he made was the Rural – Urban Migration and gave quite objective solutions. We were later joined by the aspiring MP for Kafue who bought us drinks and T-bone saying we are African children and must be taken care of. Today we are hosted by Mr Sibanda from Zimbabwe but a Zambian by birth. Yesterday our host Mr Bushe was from Shurugwi. Zambia and Zimbabwe is intertwined blood wise. We are family and the question is, WHY DO WE NEED PASSPORTS TO VISIT EACH OTHER? Basically, WE ARE ONE I Africa and must learn to embrace diversity. We enjoyed the clean up walk and decided as a team to spend one more night in Kafue. Today we leave heading for Lusaka Lots of love from Eddie, James and the Rhino man.
